From Bean to Cup, with Intention
Hi, I'm the person behind Slow Mill.
A few years ago, I tried my first Yunnan coffee and was surprised — it was nothing like the cheap, bitter Chinese coffee I'd had before. It was bright, sweet, and genuinely interesting.
I started asking: why does no one outside of China know about this?
The more I looked, the more great coffee I found. Small roasters doing interesting things, new processing methods, origins no one was talking about. But there was no easy way for people overseas to get them.
So I built Slow Mill.
This isn't a big coffee brand with a warehouse and 100 SKUs. It's just me, trying coffees, and selling the ones I actually like.
Every coffee on this site is one I drink at home. Every tasting note is written by me, not a copywriter. Every order is packed and shipped by people I trust.

We work directly with farmers and cooperatives in Yunnan, paying above fair-trade prices for exceptional lots. No middlemen, just mutual respect.
Beyond our own brand, we select the finest coffees from independent roasters and producers around the world. Each one is chosen for its uniqueness and quality.
